Finding Time
This post is not meant to diagnose, treat, or save you from mental illness, if you or someone you love is in danger, please get help. You can text HOME to 741741 to be connected with a crisis counselor. I personally have.
http://www.cdc.gov/suicide/factsFinding the time to do tasks can be difficult for everyone, so you should find what works best for you. Personally, what I have found that works for me is being a micro manager when it comes to my time. I have to have every hour planned out. That way, I don’t fall into a shocked “what to do next?” spiral. This may not work for everyone and the idea might actually drive some of you close to “crazy”.
However, knowing what I am going to be doing hour by hour, instead of day by day, keeps me focused on the tasks that are on my hour block, while also keeping out the intrusive thoughts (about all the other things I feel like I should be doing in the day). My list has hour blocks and checkmark boxes. The check-marked boxes give me a sense of satisfaction for completing a task. Also, I am reminded at the end of that day that I do, do a lot throughout the day. See what works for you as far as planning.
