Thank you and welcome to all of my readers: If you are here right now, you are for a reason and I’d love to thank you for being here. Next, I am here to discuss blogging in the summer as a stay at home mother; with her own struggles, trials and tribulations. First of all, it’s hard to find the time! I say this generally and facetiously. Of course, there are never enough hours in the day for any of us to get done all the things we want to. But for me personally, as a stay at home mother, the job never ends. There is of course someone who always needs my help, someone who always needs a drink, a snack, a belly rub, a helping hand, a shoulder, a ride, a trip to the library, a tissue, a drop of sunscreen, a towel, a sandal, an eye rinse, a shower, a sprinkler, a bbq, a piece of watermelon, a bug spray, a marshmallow, a s’more, a kiss, a hug, a last bite of dinner, a toothbrush, a drop of toothpaste, a book, a show, a tablet, a movie, a bag of popcorn, a cleaned up spill, a Blankie, a pillow, a bedtime story, a kiss, a hug, a pat good night, and an eye to watch them sleep good dreams.
All of the things listed above are things I love to do. I enjoy them to my core. Yes, I am exhausted. However it is in a way that brings joy to my soul, and accomplishment into my heart. Does this mean I never get anytime to myself? Yep, you got it! Even while playing hide and go seek with mom, even through the giggles, there are only so many places for mom to run and hide; or seek and find, as the game of course goes.
Summer in my country is the best time of the year for so many. I wouldn’t change it for a thing. There is nothing I wouldn’t put past it or take over it. It’s a time to be out of school for the children and most college students, it’s truly wonderful. But for someone such as myself, it is a time to buckle down, and get to business. Meaning less time for working on my blog. So thank you again to everyone who has stuck by me this long and helped me make my dream of blogging a reality. If you are new here, please feel free to check out the rest of my website! Lastly, if you are a stay at home mom like me, take a snack with you when you play hide and go seek (insert smile here). Thank you and good night.
